Which barely meets the regulations...does anyone else think this is why they are so strong at home?

It's like having an extra man on the pitch

Have you been?
Teams who like to play wide and use their wingers find that they can't perform like they are used to.
It's very narrow and as I say, barely meets the regulations.
Crowd very near to pitch and home can use it to their advantage

RE: their pitch is 1 yard longer than ours...

...and 2 yards narrower

dont think it makes a difference, they will begin to fade away as the season goes on

Let's hope so.
Dislike them and their Manager's cocky attitude.

The same could be said about most pitches.

For example there is over a foot difference in the camber (is that the right word?) of the pitch at some grounds compared to others. Some pitches are really wide meaning anyone who likes to keep it narrow and play through the middle are at a disadvantage, others are really long pitches favouring the long ball to a pacey striker.

Home sides can do things like that in sport...

Same in cricket when a team who have two good spinners produce pitches to take turn for example.
