Comment from a Scunny fan on a forum I use:"Had a bit of a rant about this to my mate at the game yesterday. Something seriously annoyed me, and made me ashamed that the following people are associated with Scnuthorpe United.A few fans next to me were constantly shouting abuse at Barnsleys foreign players, stuff like "Immigrant!" and "F**k off back to your own country" to Campbell-Ryce. And even worse, they were making Nazi comments to Barnsleys German keeper Heinz Muller. Shouting "Hitler, Nazi, German scum" etc etc. Wasn't just youngsters either, there were some 30-40year old blokes doing it as well... I fail to see the difference between shouting "German scum" and "Black scum" at a player, but the former seems to be more 'accepted.'Some of you may think I'm overreacting, and am just part of the P.C brigade. But as I said above, how is it different to abusing a black player?I reported the incident to a couple of stewards, but none of them really seemed to give a stuff when I told them. My uncle is a senior steward down at the club and I told him about it today, and he's going to submit it in his report on Friday, so hopefully something is done about it (preferably a few banning orders)Seriously hope I don't see them down at GP in the future. Bunch of neanderthals they are..."
Disgusting behavior - good on him for reporting it to the stewards Leeds fans gave Lars Leese the same sort of treatment in the Premier.
I stood in their end and did not hear anything remotely like racism, in fact the ones near me said JCR was brilliant!
Every club in the land suffer from this and don't seem to want to tackle it. They seem to think that a couple of notices Re: Kicking racism out of Football- and they've done their duty.
We Have Our Own Racist Fans One guy near us was at Odejayi all game with skin colour comments and the like.
Don't these racist realise that... their comments and jokes are bombing and nobody is laughing? I'd be too embarrassed to openly make ridiculous comments and crack unfunny jokes.
