Scunny game................Barnsley were shockingly bad

BUT SCUNNY WERE EVEN WORSE

That was one of the worst games i have seen at the WELL for years
It was terrible, especially in the first half
If we don't improve on that display we are RELEGATED..............no two ways about it
A decent team would have killed us today
Although we do know now that we will not be bottom of the league..........thats got to go to Scnuthorpe United

After today I am a starting to get a little bit concerned

 

Dont underestimate Scunny

They made it hard for us, closed us down very quickly and made it so we couldn't create much. I thought we did well.

first half was abysmal...second half was much more open as S cun thorpe had to come at us...

in fairness if they had anything like a striker we would have been behind at half time...

end of the day we need to take points off teams like this and we did....

We looked solid enough, and in the 2nd half we played some good stuff at times. Agree the 1st half was terrible, from both sides, but the 2nd half was a lot more entertaining. We could have had a couple more goals in the end if players had made better decisions in the box. Scunny were /poo though. Cant understand how they have managed to get 7 points.

 

Only good thing that came out of the game today was.........

we got 3 points
Other than that - it were horrible !!!

There was no passion at all from either team............it was like a practice match
The crowd reflected this weak performance - there was no singing or shouting - it was dead
Only time it kicked into life for a few minutes was when the brazillian guy got booked - other than that - NOWT

Thats one way of looking at it, if you just want to pick out all the negatives that is.

 

What about the clean sheet... fote a club who struggle traditionally with that surely that must be a positive.

There were some solid performances today too... I thought Foster had a great game and showed the leadership in defence that we have been lacking for several year. De Silva showed that he is a class act. I don't think that his influence will be fully recognised because he does a good job without the thrills.

Sometimes I think that Nudgerland must be a dark and depressing place.

 

we should focus on posotives rather than negitives, this is probably the reason we are a stagnent club. lets get behind em christ sake, fair enuff we was bobbins first halve but did we ever look like conceeding?? that to me shows we defended as a team and worked hard even though we wernt playing well. second halve i thaught we were superb give the lads some backing christ sake. ya make me wanna jump off a bridge sometimes on here jesus!!

 

Don't worry mate, we are not all like that. I think YN is a manic depressive. He must have forgot to take his pills.

Did you forget to turn your hearing aid on?
Admittedly most of the noise generated came after the booking of De Silva, but often it takes a controversial moment to get the crowd going.

From an entertainment point of view

It was awful! But then again this is what im coming to expect with Davey in charge. Simply put i really dont enjoy watching his football teams. I find the guys tactics to be negative half the time, confusing the other half. We over use the long ball and still dont seem to be playing as a team. I didnt think we looked solid at the back i just dont think Scunny pressed enough and they certainly lacked quality. Kozluk and Souza made me feel jittery till we got the second goal which i think relaxed the players . McCann looked out of place on the left of midfield and made errors throughout the game. Howard seemed lost without Johnson in the side. Ferenczi might as well have not turned up. Play like that against a team with decent attackers and we will get battered.
Having said all that its 3 points we needed and we got even though it took an own goal at exactly the right time to give us that lift. Also Werling looked better today, Da Silva looks very effective and Odejayi is coming along very well and hopefully his goal today will be one of many to come.
