Hi all, We're a new website, set up largely out of boredom and to address the patronising the ****tery of coverage of football below the Premier League, for the new season. We've put together a season preview for each club that is as in-depth as you could hope for from two people with more than 100 clubs and, as the alphabet dictates, you're one of the first up. We hope you like it, stick around for the season and have a great year. Cheers. http://wheretheparachutelands.co.uk/league-one/201415-wtpl-season-preview-barnsley-league-one/
It's actually good to read a neutral, unbiased opinion about our transfer dealings throughout the summer. Ross Turnbull has probably been the major coup of the season. A very accomplished goalkeeper who is probably the best realistic replacement for Luke Steele My opinion is however, that whichever one of Nyatanga or M'Voto, alongside Cranie, should be a fine partnership in this division this season. M'Voto more thn held his own towards the back end of last season and Nyatanga's experience is largely championship based; although he didn't look particularly good for us last year, I feel he's put the effort in over the summer and if he's half the player he was the first time he was here, he'll do well this year. Combine that with the signings of Brown and Dudgeon as full backs, and I think we should concede at least half the goals we did last year. As you say, the success of our strikers will ultimately depend on the level of service they receive. From the first few glimpses I've seen of Hourihane, he looks a very capable player, who will link up well with Dale Jennings, who is going to be our most important player this season. For me a true goalscorer can score at any level given the service, and with a combined tally of 39 goals between Winnall and Hemmings last season, I can only be encouraged that they will hopefully get 30 between them again this year. But that's my biased opinion
