Juvenile under the age of 11 - when accompanied by a paying adult - goes free in any part of the ground. For additional juveniles the club has halved the cost to £25. Tickets for juveniles under the age of 18 are £120 in all parts of the ground (£100 if the seat is in the family area).

Think it's time to get a season ticket. Need to make 11.5 games next season for it to pay for itself. Currently paying £27 per match for me and young lad.

&pound;10 off season ticket prices is nothing to go shouting from the rooftops about (though it is still a good move) but &pound;120 for a 17 year old student is excellent news. If marketed correctly we could really increase our atendence because of this.</p>

BARNSLEY Football Club will reduce season ticket prices for the next Championship league campaign in a major move to strengthen its links with the community, it was announced today.</p>

Adult and concession season tickets in all parts of the ground are being reduced by &pound;10. Match day ticket prices are frozen.</p>

And, in a move to grow long term support of the club, youngsters under the age of 11 (at the start of the new season), will be able to watch the Reds free when accompanied by a paying adult. </p>

The moves to provide affordable football for all are part of a long-term strategy by the club's board to build on the cup successes of this season and establish the club as an integral part of the community and the town's fabric, with roots firmly planted in schools and neighbourhoods.</p>

Owner Patrick Cryne said: &quot;The club's march to Wembley in this season's FA Cup showed that the town and its outlying communities are proud of their football team and want to be part of it. Taking over 34,000 fans to the semi-final proved that.</p>

&quot;We want those very same supporters from Kendray to Ward Green; from Staincross to Darfield , to be part of us. Bringing the club and our local communities together in a closer relationship can only be good for all of us and our decision to reduce season ticket prices is a gesture towards this.Together we can achieve success and bring a vibrancy to the town.&quot;</p>

Next season adult fans will be able to buy a season ticket in the Pontefract Road End for &pound;290. Elsewhere in the ground adult prices are:</p>

East Upper (Family Area) &pound;350
East and West Lower &pound;310
Disabled Corner &pound;220</p>

Concessions for fans who qualify for pensions range from &pound;170 to &pound;200 depending on which part of the ground.</p>

The announcement is part of a bright new future at Oakwell. This week the club announced a new main club sponsorship deal with the Barnsley Building Society.</p>

The free season ticket can only be claimed when purchasing an adult season ticket. Only one free U11s season ticket will be issued per adult season ticket. Any additional U11s will be charged at the normal rate of &pound;25. Any child U11s must be accompanied by an adult when entering the Stadium.

Overall its good news but there should be a Student rate for 21 yrs and under,most clubs offer concessions in this area, £150 for Students would have added transient support from students studying in the town plus 4 from my family
