Loyal Rotherham United fans are being offered an exclusive opportunity to make history by becoming the first supporters to secure their seats for the club's inaugural season at the New York Stadium.

From today, Valentine's Day (Tuesday, February 14), Privilege Cards will be posted to existing season ticket holders, allowing them to purchase their seat for the 2012/13 season and up to three additional tickets for family and friends.

For the first time, the club has also introduced a direct debit scheme so fans can pay a deposit and spread the cost of their season ticket over a year.

Adult season ticket prices behind the goal and quadrants start from £340 a year, with disabled and student/full time education concessions from £205 and junior prices (age 5-15) from £105.

In the East and West stands, season tickets are £375 for adults, £225 for concessions and £130 for juniors.

Tony Stewart, Chairman, Rotherham United FC, said: "The future of Rotherham United has never been brighter. After leaving Millmoor four years ago, we are finally returning to the heart of the town, to a new stadium which will delight fans and help us grow financially.

"We can't wait to cheer the team on to success in our state-of-the-art new home and we want our most loyal fans to be there with us, which is why we are offering existing season ticket holders the chance to secure one of the very best seats in the house."

Existing season ticket holders can select their new seats in the stadium at a series of exclusive presentation events.

They will be held at the club's new marketing suite in the Library, Heritage and Arts space, in Rotherham Council's new Riverside House, on Main Street, in Rotherham, which is adjacent to the stadium.

Ashley Donlan, managing director of Empire Stadiums, appointed to work with Rotherham's commercial team on corporate seating, promotions and sponsorship, said: "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for fans to make history with the Millers. Existing season ticket holders are the lifeblood of the club and this is about rewarding their loyalty with priority seating.

"At the presentation events, supporters will have the chance to find out more about the New York Stadium's facilities and seating options using our exciting new virtual flythrough of the stadium.

"Rotherham is a family club and we want the whole town to be a part of this new era, which is why we have introduced new initiatives such as the direct debit scheme to make it even easier and more affordable for local people to visit the New York Stadium."

After four years based at Don Valley Stadium, in Sheffield, the Millers will return to Rotherham for the 2012/13 season to play at their iconic new home ground.

The New York Stadium is being constructed on the former Guest and Chrimes factory site, which created the first New York fire hydrants to be exported to the United States and led to the area becoming known to locals as New York.
