Firstly, brilliant by the club with the reduction but why are the tickets in this stand the same price as tickets in the East Stand Upper? Wooden seating, outside toilets and crap facilties. I was hoping to sit here after years in the East because the view of the ground is much better but i've changed my mind after seeing they're the same price.

If this seasons football is owt to go by I`d look at lower tier. Less chance of succeeding when feeling suicidal.

It's like buying a classic car...

Or a vintage wine. You pay extra for the age...

    It wants filling in!

Build another Dimensions stand, it would also do the atmosphere some good.

You can still see the old winding gear

Something to look at and ponder when the football isn't very good

Also you can look down on Celebrity Monkey and wave

Apparently they don't want to fill the corners in as it would stop the wind getting in to help dry out of the ground. If the corners are filled in, the ground would not dry as well as it does and we would have to end up having to relay the pitch during the season like many Premier League clubs have to with enclosed stadiums.

The dimensions stand hasn't done damage to the pitch and PC was going to fill that side in with a similar stand because he wanted to move the boardroom away from the West Stand. The stands at Oakwell are not high enough to effect the wind etc.. having to lay the turf during the season only happens at places like the Amsterdam Arena, Millenium where there's high enclosed stands.

I am only repeating what we were told when we asked the same question as you asked.

The best view is from the top of the Visitors End looking towards Doncaster Road - (as long as the sun isn't too low!)

Depends when it was asked, they now have a new groundman who knows what he's doing after getting rid of the old one, thats the difference in the pitch this season. Maybe the old groundsman used the excuse of the stands for his sh*t work.

From the East stand, the pitch certainly looked in good order all season. I was surprised to see that they had dug it up at the end of the season.

    It's always been that way

in recent years anyway. Way I always looked at it is everyone who sits in there chooses to since there's plenty of room in the East Upper.
