Not got precise figures, but the website shows a big increase in season ticket sales since the price structure was announced. (More than 100 seats taken just in blocks S2 and L1 this morning.) (Sorry, but I am not sad enough to monitor the whole ground!!) I do have sympathy for those who cannot afford a season ticket, but clearly, a lot of people have decided they can afford to pay for one rather than pay those high prices for Newcastle and other A* games. Good news for average attendances and atmosphere at the well?
Ahhhh... our very own dot counter !! We don't need that guy from Oxford any more. You've set a precedent now, so it's expected of you to do a daily update. How many have been sold this afternoon?
One observation more from me.... there's one hell of a lot of green dots left on the ground plan. Take a look at the old wooden West Stand. Looking at it like that it is quite disappointing.
I think they still count the seats in the West Stand that have been declared unusable .... so in effect our max capacity is now wrong too.
Look at this.. http://www.footballgroundguide.com/leagues/england/championship/oakwell-barnsley.html it still shows we have a 23k capacity.... that cannot be reyt if the north part of the west stand has been declared obsolete... must be about 2 - 3 k in that area.
