    If we played the team that was on for the last 20 minutes rather than the first 70. The fitness is no longer there, but the football was streets ahead.

    Agreed. The passing was a million times bettter than the proper team, the vision, the runs, everything.
    Dare I say it that even in the first half bobby hassell looked far better than anyone else in that midfield.

    Johnson will have hated watching it. Wingers who can take full backs on. Kay spraying the ball all over and Howard cruising through midfield. Bossman told me Johnson didn't acknowledge Bobby when he subbed him, can anyone confirm.

    I can. As bobby was subbed Johnson stood with his back to bobby who sat towards the halfway side of the dugout, he then moved to sit near the other end and johnson never turned to face him.

    I know he doesn't know him and doesn't have the affection for him that we have but to blank Bobby on his testimonial day is bad manners, small minded and shows a complete lack of respect.

    To be fair to him I can only comment on what I saw not heard. For all I know Bobby could have started talking to someone straight away as he got to the dugout and Johnson thought it best not to interrupt or Johnson could have been deep in thought about something and completely forgot to acknowledge him. In other words while it looked pretty ignorant it may have been more accidental than it appeared.

    Maybe someone told him that Bobby was due to reappear later on that afternoon, so therefore he concentrated on his day job.

    It's true that Johnson didn't acknowledge Bobby when he came off, but it didn't look like any disrespect there. It just looked like they didn't get into a position where they would have spoke.

    Johnson didn't particularly acknowledge players last season when they were subbed, so I wouldn't read anything into it to be honest.
