Doncaster sign Dyer Doncaster Rovers have signed former Sheffield United and Barnsley striker Bruce Dyer. The 31-year-old has scored over one hundred league goals in just over 300 starts. Rovers director of Football Mickey Walker believes it's a major signing for the club.... "I think it's a first-class signing," said Walker. "We tried to sign him last year and now the chairman has given us every opportunity to go and get him because we lost out to Sheffield United last year." "He's just taken one side up into the Premiership - he's on a two year contract and hopefully a lot longer - I'd like him to take us into the Championship and then up and away into the Premiership
Proper PMSL.
If that's genuine, its hilarious. Taking them to the Premiership!! Pffft.
Conference more like

Well Dyer's tried and failed to both fire us into the Premiership and indeed to keep us in the Championship... oh, and we had him in League One when we nearly got relegated. I liked him and was a big fan of his, but I can't see him firing them into the Premiership!
Mate's a Donny fan. Been trying to explain to him what sort of player Dyer is. Been struggling. "A decent enough goalscorer whose effort far outweighs his talent" was about the best I could come up with. Score them goals? Yes. Fire them to the Premiership? My a**e.
I did say he comes with his own flag. But you know you're in trouble when you have to start explaining it...
