    Moore's a better defender though

    than all of our players and some if not most in the Championship, even if he is slow.

    Agreed Ryhill, gonna get caught out too many times...

    Next season if Moore plays regularly, Foster and if we get him Nyatanga for me!

    Yes please. Woudl be a good signing. Foster with Moore or Nyatanga sounds good. He can also cover at LB.

    Pace isn't necessity.

    It's useful as a 'get out of jail' tool, but an ability to read the game and having a physical presence is much more important. If you're relying on pace, you're doing something wrong.

    But I can't help thinking why can't he get in Derby's team? If he's not good enough for them, something is not adding up.

    It may not be a case of not being good enough

    It's possible Nigel Clough simply doesn't rate him as a player. Steve Cotterill didn't rate Steve Foster, but he's not done too bad for us.

    I always thought he did OK for us in his loan spells, without being outstanding. Would welcome him back, especially as he can also play left back as far as I can remember, so provides flexibility there also.
