I went to the Chesterfield V Droylsden game a couple of weeks ago, the one that finished 2-2. He put himself about a lot and didn't hide, always went looking for the ball rather than stand there waiting for it and took his goal very well which he made out of nothing. He also had a couple of decent chances to score again which he missed but overall it was a good performance from the lad. He is lightning quick as well. Before anyone says it - granted the opposition and level he was playing at is not comparable to ours but I think he is worth a punt. There has been plenty of players who have made the grade stepping up from playing in far lower leagues than Jamie...Freddy Eastwood, Paul Parry...even Kevin Phillips came from the non-league!! Give the lad a chance. Seems like he wants to play for us as well.
