Very few seats left in the East, none in the Ponty and only a few in the West, yet I'm watching on Ifollow and there's empty seats all over the place! I wanted a ticket in East Upper (only place I'll sit) and there wasn't any. Clearly there was, not all of those empty seats are people who just haven't turned up surely?
Apparently so, but I must admit, I found that difficult to process. There weren't a few empty seats or even a couple of hundred, there were vast swathes of empty seats. I can't think of a single reason to say they'd sold out when they hadn't, so it must just be people not turning up, but I find that really weird.
Lots of Eaststanders stay in the Legend's Suite all match even though they've been given a seat. Looked quite full from the Ponty.
It’s not that surprising Jay. More the nature of the modern football fan. Loads of people buy Season Tickets for all Clubs and then pick and chose which games they attend. It’s shown every time attendances are announced. Laughable figures. Not sure why anyone would miss today though - although I did.
I get that, but at home to Derby after such a great run? Biggest game of the season at Oakwell so far. I know some won't be able to make it, but I would have thought this was one game for which people who make the effort. There just seemed A LOT of vacant seats. But as I said, I don't have any other explanation.
Do I understand you correctly. You wanted a seat in the upper tier. And won't sit anywhere else. So why didnt you order before sold out. If I was that choosy I'd make the effort. If you didn't know you were attending till the last minute. Buy one, then sell it back. If necessary..Covered either way. But most would buy a ticket for the match irrespective of the stand. The ponty had plenty of seats empty. The odd few together. I'd be surprised that they weren't season ticket holders. Can I ask why the place in the ground is more important than the game. ?. Season ticket holders seats are assumed taken. Regardless of there or not.
Well I’m a ST holder and I wasn’t there. Attending a wedding in Barbados. I kept catching up with happenings from Oakwell on my phone - while the Ceremony was going on. Very nervy and very distracting. At one point the Vicar had to remind me to say I do.
