With absolutely no cover at left back.

What a bad decision that was.

I didn't particularly rate Golbourne, but he was twice the player Kennedy is.

To be fair m thinking of ringing Neil Thompson up who I know very slightly to see if I can convince him to cone out of retirement. Even now he'd be twice the player Kennedy is.

The maddest thing about the scenario was Flitcroft said he would put his faith in RNL at left back, never actually gave him a chance, and shipped him out on loan.

Agreed. Best left sided player since the days of Barnard/Thompson. Now we are back to a left back that makes Paul Gibbs and Jay McEverley look capable.

Ahhh you say that Chef but Goldie wanted to go!!! What do you do keep a player who's heart wasn't in it?

You could tell from first few games of season he wasn't at it

I agree with first part but he was contracted to Barnsley. He was happy enough to come . There are plenty on this forum who are not happy at work but they have to grin and bear it. We should have told Golborne to get on with it. We certainly miss him and he was never replaced.

He was a quality left back. People criticised him for not been better at attacking but above all his job was to defend which he did superbly. He was a championship version of Ashley Cole. Rarely gave the ball away, played it simple, read the game brilliantly, had great pace & stamina. The only thing he lacked was quality in the final third but if he had that we'd of never been able to sign him.

Personally, I thought he was ok. Good, but not great. Good enough at this level.

But to sell him with no cover sorted? Meaning Kennedy plays without any competition. Bonkers.

Does he actually get a game for Wolves?

RNL played Hammill out of the game against Hudds. and was then dropped At that point I sadly lost my faith in Flitcroft.

Best defensive left back I've seen at the club this side of 2000.

I'm not saying he's on Cole's level, I'm saying he's a similar type of full back, great athlete, good reading of the game, better defender than attacker.

In the same way Drogba's similar to O'Grady but better or Darren Fletcher similar to Dawson but better.
