What a shocking attitude that lad has got. If he was half as good as he thinks he is then he wouldn't be one of the worst performers and needing a babysitter at the side of him in a side languishing near the bottom of league one
Personally think this is really harsh. Ithink he's played well recently and was by no means our worse performer yesterday. Was it just me? I didn't really see how Scowen played better than him yesterday. Also not really seen this so called arrogance you refer to. If we're looking to apportion blame then Harris and Wabara deserve some stick for continually getting in good positions and continually providing shocking final balls. Much more of a sin in my eyes than anything Pearson did
Scowen is no better, that is why we have two players doing one players job every week. Haven't you seen Pearson constantly arguing with referee's? To such an extent last night that he talked himself into the book while his captain was begging him to stop. Not only that but he constantly picks fights with opposition players too
Went up in my estimation last night. Petulant little b.stard but obviously driven and gives a ****. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
That booking got him a suspension as well, by the way. Tbh, I thought Alfie should have managed that. He stood next to him and watched it happen. As skipper he should have been getting him away and telling him to shut the **** up At least he looks like he cares though Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
He was trying to get him away but Ben was ignoring him. At one point he was physically trying to move him
And when other players do that at Oakwell it's generally seen as the sign of an experienced side, getting the ref in their pocket. Talking to the ref isn't arrogance, every team has someone who does it - it shouldn't be a criteria for sending someone back. Personally think that Pearson or Scowen are good enough to play the holding role without the other in alongside them. I'd drop one to make way for a more attacking presence in midfield (though options on that front a little limited at the moment (Williams when fit)
He was a disgrace last night. Deliberately talked his way into the book to get out of Saturday's match. The ref was going to let him off & then he had to shout something when he was walking away. Pathetic.
Pearson wasn't talking to the ref, he was having a proper go at him for a considerable length of time which resulted in a booking meaning he is now suspended. It also meant he was unable to make a last ditch tackle for the remainder of the game for the fear of being sent off. I'm not Pearson's biggest fan (probably more to do with him being a loan player, who I rarely warm to, rather than his talents). Having said that, I thought he was excellent in the two home games prior to last night. However, I thought the way he shouted himself in to the refs notebook last night was extremely unprofessional and even though Supertyke's post is harsh, I can understand why he's angry with the player. If I was the manager I'd be furious with him.
