Does anyone know if i will be charged extra or whether it will just use the texts i get per month in my contract? Cheers
May depend on your provider I think if you are sending it to someone who has a UK contract but they are abroad then they pick up the extra, however if it is to someone who has a contract with a provider abroad then you get charged extra. I have a package that gives me £35 of credit to use on texts or calls - however I've sent texts to someone resident in the US and I get charged separately. Rather annoying really, no problem with it costing me more but I wish they'd take it out of my allowance seeing as I don't use it all anyway!
thanks (Y) ar lass gone to Dominican Republic for 2 week and shes on a UK contract so i should be alright then.
Just be careful Your lass will be picking up those charges...if she wants you to text her regularly then fine
Not sure Think they get extra charged for texts as well - I think I did when I sent and received abroad
RE: Not sure Just checked on t-Mobile website it won't cost her to recieve em, thanks for the help (Y)
if its a UK number no matter where they are you will pay the same however if its a foreign sim you will pay. and they wont pay to receive the text either way
you are generally charged extra for sending whilst abroad but not receiving the reasoning is that you cant control whether you receive a text but you can a call
