    Even if Germany beat Spain they have a job on at qualifying because the goal difference will be so vast and Japan should beat Costa Rica.

    As bad as Iran were, Costa Rica were absolute ploppy today as well, so let's not get carried away ehh lol.

    On the flip side, we've seen two huge shocks, and in the 2014 World Cup, Costa Rica won a group containing Italy, England and Uruguay and only lost on pens in the QF v Holland. So they're not always this bad. Oh, and Canada could have easily beaten Belgium.

    True and I suppose we will find out when it happens if its a good thing or not. Though 16 groups of 3 and 48 matches to eliminate 16 teams.

    I think 2018 wasn't bad for shocks. The biggest one us getting to the Semi Finals. I doubt we'll get a chance like that again. Spain, Holland looked to have regrouped and France I can't see being beat.
