I am getting tired of people getting upset when people try to make others smile - sometimes I can sort of understand it if it can be considered to cause offence - though often the "offended " are being offended on behalf of others but this story takes enforcing us to live in a joyless society a new low

"Although this was meant as a humorous incident, we take this kind of thing very seriously and have launched a formal investigation into the conduct of this officer."

A Traffic warden with a sense of humour - better discipline him then ffs

Traffic warden with a sense of humour? You'll be telling me dinosaurs are back next...

If I was his gaffer and read this complaint I would have read it, laughed at it, binned it and moved on. Some folk eh?

Somebody should investigate John McEvoy and his managers. The public sector really does look to be a humourless bastion of political correctness and they need to lighten up.

Mr McAvoy should be investigated for wasting time and public money launching an investigation. Surely he has more important things needing his attention.
