Isn't it disgusting how rude and obnoxious some people can be sat behind a keyboard? Wonder what some (on both sides) would be like face to face. Been to Barnsley today and had a good chat with one of our managers, who's is as Barnsley through and through as I am Rovers. We agreed on some things (crowd figures, kays tackle, racist chanting, yellow cards, Paul Hart) and had completely different opinions on others (Austin/Copps incident, Rennie, Doolan and Andy Ritchies comments). At no point did I feel the need to call him any names. Neither did he feel the need to question my parentage, age or IQ. We discussed it, appreciating the passion each other felt for their club. Suppose we should all be grateful to Paul Hart. Despite being one of the worlds worst managers, his comments (slander?) after last seasons game have sown the seeds for the current heated atmosphere which has been allowed to fester and boil over on Saturday. Here's looking forward to the LDV, a competition that although I go to the games, I rarely am interested in.
If any Donny fans want to come on here and discuss the game sensibly They are more than welcome and they’ll get sensible answers in return. But look at what we’ve had to put up with. I can’t say as I’m surprised when they get short shrift.
You want your team to do well, as we do ours. We are all basically partisan in our attitude.
Sometimes the anger both during and after games, and then when taken onto internet sites, saddens me a little.
Banter is good, but a lot of it is not in that category.
After the game I saw a loathsome Barnsley fan taunting a Doncaster woman and her kids on Grove street. She was complaining back to him and he called her a gobshite. He was a true lout in every sense of the word. Going over the crossing I latched on to a Donny guy and his young lad who looked clearly uncomfortable and walked with them up Kendray Street. The crossing barrier coming down and holding a lot behind us gave us some breathing space and a welcome margin.
It shouldn't be like that. Donny fans didn't influence the ref - the game went their way.
Yes, it's passion, but when it gets out of control then it's dangerous and sinister. We were beaten in a game, not sexually violated. Get over it - move on.

RE: If any Donny fans want to come on here and discuss the game sensibly And all their 13-year-old girls are either high on smack or with child.
a nice change after having illiterate doncaster supporters who are unable to construct any sort of reasoned arguement ramble on all weekend.
