Just thought I'd share their response

    Hi Mark,

Thank you for contacting us here at Wembley.

We really appreciate the positive feedback. Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience. I actually showed your feedback in our Event Ops meeting today with all of our leaders here at Wembley. We don't often get positive feedback, so thank you.

Thank you for contacting iconic Wembley Stadium.

These days people are often quick at coming forward with complaints, and not as quick with compliments. This compliment is on the professional, courteous and generally helpful staff that I had the pleasure of being hosted by in Sunday the 3rd April for the Johnstone's paint trophy final. I am a lifelong Barnsley fan, and although some of our supporters have a poorly held reputation, the rest of us are there to have a good time. This reputation often leads to heavy handedness by other football clubs. The stewards and police were only really conspicuous by there absence, you knew they were there, but they left you to enjoy your day, mostly with smiles on their faces. The catering staff were friendly (did you ship them in from up north?) Extremely polite and very efficient, I even saw a guy in a suit frying chips! The cleaning and general staff joined in with the spirit of the day and I saw some wearing Barnsley scarfs they had been given. I could go on, but I will finish by starting that it was the best trip I've ever experienced at Wembley or any other major sporting event and this was due to your staff, their excellent training and the philosophy that seemed to be running through the whole team you have there... We are the customers, not football hooligans... and you made the experience!
    Thank you Mark Garry.

Great letter mate, I think that you echo the feelings of most of us who were lucky enough to be there on Sunday. Full marks to them for replying so quickly, though I'm not sure why they get so few compliments if they usually operate as they did at the weekend. I can only assume that most folk just can't be arsed.

Well done mate. I have to agree the Wembley staff were excellent.

I must also say the Police were very friendly too and not at all aggressive.

As an England regular they're the same at those games most of the time as well. Treat people with respect and you'll be treated the same 99% of the time

Or if they're a steward, 1% of the time.

    totally agree with that fella

my Wembley trip on Sunday was certainly enhanced by the quality of all stewarding and policing, I can also add to that the London underground personnel who I encountered too.

Love that, Mark. The bobbies were great afterwards. Me and mrs were fussing horses for a good 10 minutes on Wembley way. Sharing left over fruit. 12920261_10153921609046690_2252166740940858525_n.jpg

Good stuff and an excellent letter and response. I thought they were all excellent. Seems like they wanted to kill us with kindness

Totally agree. Great letter and great response. Let's hope Barnsley can learn from the experience - in my 40 years of going to Oakwell I've never been thanked on my way out for coming and wished a safe journey home. Great all round experience, only slightly blighted by the pondlife peeing in the sinks in Club Wembley - cos "they can"!
