He's now saying that the 2018 finals are not a sure thing to be held in Europe, North America and Asia are also in with a shout, the man has had more backhanders and sweetners than anyone else in sport, he looks and behaves like a Mafia Don.

 

I must confess, it will not go down well if USA get a second world cup before we do.

 

I've given up trying to think of worse ways of describing this man.

If he has the game of football's interests at heart then I'll be sailing on the Titanic tomorrow.

 

2002 was in Asia and 2006 was in Europe, 2010 is in South Africa, could be somewhere in the americas it 2014 could be in the Americas somewhere and we can hold it in 2018, sorted.

 

Brazil are favourites for 2014, if they are rotating then it would be Asia in 2018, or North America if they are keeping them separate from South America but they should be grouped together otherwise USA and Mexico would be alternating every 20 years (not sure Canada would have enough stadia)
Given the number of countries in Europe capable and interested in hosting it, and the interest, it ought to be weighted towards Europe anyway....not long back there was talk of alternating tournaments between Europe and rest of the World.

 

So the rotation system is a farce

That means the good old USA will get them a country with no footballing tradition and despite all the efforts is still making little in road into the american culture

It was utterly **** and that's not just because England weren't there. Yanks ought to be told that they need to earn another world cup by embedding a proper league systems and generating enough public interest at home. Why football needs America I don't know. If the Yanks want to miss out because they're too busy touching each others arses padded up running for ten yards let them get on with it.

 

There's no wonder that there are problems regulating the money in football...

When you have organisations like FIFA and the FA responsible for things. Both bodies are up there with examples of dicey organisations I would refuse to trust. And then you get people like Sven Goran Eriksson and Steve McClaren who live like ticks and fleas off the back of what these organisations do.</p>

It is stupid that he says North America should be part of

the rotation when it has only 3 possible countires (inc Mexico) when Europe must have hundreds of countries by now (seem to get a few new ones each year).

North and South America should be combined regarding the rotation and Australia lumped in with Asia for rotational purposes.

It's also ridiculous to have strict rotation because how many countries in Africa could realistically host the tournament?

Would make more sense to rotate between Europe, the Americas and rest of world.

NFL is a game of skill and exciting to watch if you understand it properly. Much more exciting then watching either Barnsley or England playing boring and negative football. But hey at least one of the two is getting results like that.
