Just wondered like.
There are an awful lot of very pertinent points being made on here lately, as well as the usual pile of turds, but it all seems a waste of time and effort if all we are doing is talking amongst ourselves.
Mr S, if you are reading this then please reply in the affirmative. We know you USED to.

    Doubt it since,,,,

.....Jay layed into him that fateful night.

He was making tentative steps to become involved but probably decided, very sensibly to hang his coat up. Not worth the hassle.

He may read it, but I doubt he will ever become involved again.

I'll say it again... I asked him about it when I met him a while back and he told me he no longer read the board and wouldn't do in the future as he was sick of how childish it was.

He doesn't have to post on here. All he has to do is put something on official site detailing what the club are doing to address these problems.

Err...didn't GS lay into Jay? All I remember is Jay asked a perfectly simple question which Mr Shepherd refused to answer - even though he was actively involved at that time. GS then accused Jay of threatening him!

...but he was keen to use it to his own ends when he needed to.

Difficult to argue against that one.

    Aye, but

I did go over the top in my response. Still, if he's stopped reading because of that he's gone even further down in my estimations. And he calls other people childish.

    RE: Aye, but

No you didn't go over the top. Mr Shepherd was keen to use this board when he needed to gain support from us, but not so keen to get involved when the going got tough. As I said at the time, I felt it unprofessional for a chairman get involved in a fans BBS - it seems that unprofessionalism has now spread therough the club like a cancer.

The official site stated that the POTY award

would be given to the winner at the end of season dinner. I asked GS if the POTY trophy would first be handed to the player before the last game of the season. I e-mailed the club with question (Rob knowles claimed I never did) and put the question on the BBS. It wasn't answered so I kept pushing the question back to the top and asking why I was being ignored. Pretty childish really, but I'd got a bee in my bonnet.

GS came on the board late one night and claimed I was threatening him. I pretty much told him where to get off and what I thought about his attitude.

    That's my one sided story.

Probably more to do with distancing the club from the old site

    Why?

If you mean because of TT, then I think he stopped reading it before that all kicked off.

    RE: Why?

I get the impression that TT ws charged/arrested sometime around Jan/Feb, around the time he stopped posting and it was said his PC was broken...more likely that it was taken away for examination

I might be wrong, but when the club found out about this, I am sure that they will have taken a concious decision to distance themselves from a "potential" (at the time) sex offender

    Does that make sense?

    RE: Why?

Well yes it does... Maybe Gordon didn't want to give that reason to me, I don't know. That's certainly not what he mentioned as the reason to me, but hey I don't blame him if he told me a white lie there.

    To be fair..

I would not either, but he probably thought that he had to at least try and protect the name of the club and sever relations, even though TT was not convicted at the time

I'm not convinced that was the reason, but it might be I suppose.

Anyway, well done on reaching 300 posts!
