Easy come easy go. There are plenty of experienced Championship managers looking for a job.

I'd be gutted as I really think that this duo will get the best out of our club. We are still goin thru the bedding in period. Its a new formation and there are new players. It will take time to gel. Look at Forest, Leicester, Burnley. All got fairly new managers wiv new players and ideas but not got off to the best of starts. I have faith in Hillflicker

Aye, they were all applying last time weren't they. Laws, Irvine, Blackwell, take your pick.

been out with a few mates earlier and we were wondering whether he wants out. and whether that was the reason for the anti-fan stance he has taken.. not crowing about being all in it together now is he??

I'd be gutted to lose them so early; I really do think we will go in the right direction under them.

Personally I'd be very disappointed. He comes across as very confident in his own ability and packing in at the first sign of trouble would make him seem like a weak willed quitter... Let's hope you're wrong and he's committed to the long haul.

If the poor little buggers needed to get out because the big bad fans had been all mean to them after some dreadful performances... I'd rather get shut sooner rather than later to be honest.

If they've got the balls to do the job, if they can grow a thicker skin, if they can start to build some bridges with the fans, and maybe put a decent side together (instead of just talking about it) - then I'm happy to see them stay.

As Tina has been saying quite rightly - they're not the be all and the end all.

i know one thing.. its going to be a far more exciting season than the last 2 nondescript affairs.. but not neccessarily on the pitch.. i wonder if he doesnt want to get too lovey with us, so it makes it easier when he gets the Bolton job he craves.?.? needs to be successful first like..

Wouldn't give a monkey's, Hill needs to realise it's the fans who pay his wages. They had a right to show their feelings after 3 abysmal performances, I didn't jeer the players but I don't blame em who did.

Who knows, being booed by their own fans may have given the players the kick up the arse they needed to put in a proper shift at Reading and get that great result.

brilliant since we all know stability never brings success anyway.

On this forum I said we shouldn't sack Ritchie, I wasn't sure we should sack Davey and I definitely thought we would be worse off when Robins went so make of that what you will but I can't get over the fact that all we ever say about other clubs is that stability is crucial yet we don't apply the same logic to ourselves. It takes 3 years to build a team that's how long a manager should get before being judged but apparently I'm in a very small minority with that opinion. Certainly though a season can't be long enough to put a team together especially if a new manager's vision is as different as Hill's.

No he's not - probably because he's realised what a set of ******* shithouses some of our fans are.

I really can't believe all the s**t on here about the new management team

4 games into the season and we're mid-table.
Out of the League Cup at the first attempt, but nothing new there.
New players, some of which I'm sure will not make the grade, but we had to gamble on the lower leagues due to lack of resources.
I sat behind 5 guys in the Executive Suite at the Southampton game, one of the worst 90-minutes of soccer I've experienced, and they moaned from start to finish. It was if they were willing the players, management and club to fail. I wasn't happy with the performance, but I was willing them to win and cheering them on.
Things are not too rosy, what with the lack of funds available from Cryne; the new League solvency rules; our low-priced season tickets; our low gates, etc, but there is a long way to go before we write the club off.
    Rant Over!
