last summer he rejected our offer for an offer from QPR which we wouldn't/couldn't match?

will we now be paying him the wage we couldn't afford last summer or will QPR be "subbing" us??

    don't suppose we'll be told

We didn't try to match there offer did we? He was due to sign for us but had a chnage of heart and went to QPR the same day?

I would imagine to do that he would be on more but loan agreements normally include a % of wage paid for by the club e.g. we'd pay 50%

I think it was more to do with wanting a move to London.

Roy Keane made comments about how difficult it was to attract players to Sunderland and clearly the smoke does haveit's attractions, especially if you are a young footballer and you want to raise your profile.
