    These worked for us

    Dentinox Colic drops
Try to get wind up as best as poss - best position "stand" baby side on between your knees, gently lean baby forward & rub back.
A dummy... I know some folk don't like them, but can bring tremendous relief to baby (and you!)
Also phase does pass, and no harm to baby in long run, just awful to see them screaming in such pain though. Keep calm!

How's the little one this morning?

Hope he managed to calm down and have a good night's sleep.

Actually, we didn't have too bad a night

eventually managed to calm down towards the end of the night, and he seemed ok this morning...

It looks as though we will be able to set the clock by him anyway, starts to create when I get home from work, between half 5 and 6. until about half 10.

hopefully it will not last the "average" which is supposed to be about 3 months, but its heartbreaking to deal with.

If either of us has managed to have a chill out period we can cope ok, its only when we are both tired when its starts to affect us, but there are some useful tops being given on here which we can have a go with, but the bigest tip I can see coming over loud and clear, is for us to remain calm, so I think it may be best if we take it in turns to give each other a break

RE: Actually, we didn't have too bad a night

I am a midwife so hope this helps. Try infacol before each feed. You have to keep using it cos it has a build up effect over an few days. If that doesn't work try colief (you can get it from the pharmacy). You put this in the milk if bottle feeding, or on the baby's tongue if breastfeeding. This neutralizes the lactic acid in the milk and so eases the colic. Try baby massage and always make sure the stomach and mouth are in a straight line when you are winding, don't have your baby bent over. It might be hard at the minute but it will get easier.:)

    thanks

we have tried infacol, and now on that colief, and it has seemed to help a little, although not to the extent we had hoped for, but cheers for the tip on keeping him straight when winding, we will give that one a try...

We have got some new bottles that are supposed to let air out the other end of the bottle, but I suppose we need to be a little more patient...

I will print of all these tips later tonight and try and match them up to what we have done and what we haven't, maybe a combination of them will do the trick, but I wanted to try one thing at a time, that way we can do the process of elimination in order to see whats most effective

some real good tips for us in this thread, very much appreciated
