    I got the feeling in the OP. I Know the poster isn't having the best of times. It is pretty 5hit at the minute. Just got to try and muddle through best we can. I'm as disappointed as anyone right now. My posts don't really show it but just putting a face on things. I hope the posts about the Downing Street party haven't offended anyone. They were tongue in cheek.

    There's plenty of rubbish, and it does feel more now than through other periods. But there is still plenty to witness and wonder at.

    Simple things. A pattern of cloud. A chilled wind. The veins of a leaf.

    In the last few days I witnessed a sparrowhawk just sitting on a wall, only about 10 feet away through a window. Balancing as the wind blew it. And just a day before that, I saw my first hedgehog. Snuffling in the gutter and then jollily (and a little haphazardly) tootling along the pavement as if it was on its way home.

    Try turning the telly off for a few days and just block out the negative news and find something that you know will make you smile. It might be a bit of music, a place, a view.

    I hope you're able to find something positive to bring a better balance.
