Totally agree fired, why the hell would you put him as 5th penalty taker unless like you say he wanted the glory,

Just before the penalties started I asked my missus how Ronaldo will turn it into the Ronaldo show. In his mind it was by scoring the winning penalty, but it turned out to be through yet another selfish act of stupidity. Sending two centre backs up to take them first because he wanted to be the one to score the winner, when any fool knows that you're pushing your luck leaving the best one till last. Idiot. And how I laughed.

At least it took my mind off the fact that I want the Germans to win the tournament for a few minutes. A Germany v Spain final could be a cracker.

Don't know about always misses--- he scored 14 last year most in Europe?
I just think that he hadn't the balls for taking the first one as you would have thought the captain would have insisted on.
Or as they say in Spain Ronaldo sin Cojones !!!

No point saving your best penalty taker until last when you can end up already out. As bad as Andy Carroll not taking one for us.

Rubbish! What if he had taken one and it 4 all. Would you have fancied Pepe to take one.

    Eh? What if?

That's the point! Putting your best penalty takers earlier is to avoid a 'what if' situation. Putting your best one last will quite often mean that your best one doesn't take one.
