Whoever takes over as manager, please please please work on set-pieces - at both ends. Around 20-25% of all goals come from free-kicks from corners in top level football, but I think where we're concerned, about 1% of our goals in the last few years have come from them, and about 40% of the ones we've conceded have. I'm fed up of us being no threat in the opposition box from corners and free-kicks, and bricking it every time the other team gets one. It's no wonder we struggle.
Agree. As soon as M'voto entered the field, we had a free kick on the half way line. Instead of lofting a ball into the box for him to get his head on, we played a short free kick, which probably ended up at Butland's feet. Another similar incident where Ramage signalled he was going up for the free kick, but as he passed the half way line a poor ball was aimed into the box.
To add to this, can we also have a striker that can head goals? That also never happens. We hardly ever score headed goals from open play either and haven't for years.
Been saying it for years...Robins started doing it..and then seemed to forget it,no one else seems to have bothered.
