Blimey! 30.95%!

Labour won the last general election with 35.3%.

Surprising result given the general bias on this board. Looks like the anti-fascists on herehave been successful insilencing their political opponents. Ho ho!

ERMMMM thats not what I thought would happen

I thought it would be a resounding "NO" vote and that would be the end of the matter.

this debate could run for a while longer

proportionately barnsley probably has the fewest immigrants of all the yorkshire towns and cities

so I'm not sure why people are up in arms all of a sudden. Just goes to show what a bit of scaremongering does. Its worked for governments and religious leaders time immemorial.

Why is it that it's invariably the appeasers, conformists, and PC-programmed 'anti-racists' who are fed up with discussing BNP-related issues? Is it because they want to silence what they perceive as a gradually emerging political force, or is it because they think that anyone who takes pride in their country's history and heritage, its people and its traditions are 'racist' and are ipso fact tattooed skinheads with swastika tee shirts. Personally I think it's probably the latter as it's much less taxing on the brain to abruptly label and dismiss someone rather than consider what he has to say.

Depends on your definition of "Up in arms."

Maybe we'd also show the lowest vote ina poll like this. Who's to say similar polls in other towns and cities wouldn't show a yes vote to match their immigrant population rates?

And just because you don't believe there's a cause for concern doesn't mean there isn't one. To dismiss an opinion you disagree with as the result of scaremongering is to deny yourself the opportunity of a proper understanding of the debate.

I don't fit into any of the catergories you listed, but I'll tell you why I wanted to end the thread

this is a barnsley FOOTBALL site and that thread had been done to death.

I'm not interested in yourpolitical leanings,if I was I'd track down a political web board.

by the way, devaney, best wing? left or right?
