    On a more serious note though

    It will take time to get information about what happened from a 9 year old.

    The neighbour downstairs had said they'd heard a child's footsteps, so she wasn't in that drawer under the bed all the time. Why didn't the neighbour hear a child crying or shouting if they were distressed? I did read that one of the tabloids said that the bloke arrested had claimed that it was set up as a scam when the parents had seen the money being raised for the McCann case. Mind you - same tabloid that has just paid damages to the McCanns for saying that they were partly responsible for the disappearance....so wonder if they'll be paying similar damages if this is proved untrue.

    we live in a "something for nothing" society and i can well imagine that some ill-thought-out plan to screw the newspapers out of "exclusive" fees might work.
