from bbc- Blades may learn fate on Tuesday

Sheffield United could learn their relegation fate from a Premier League arbitration panel on Tuesday.

A verdict was expected before the end of June, but BBC Sport understands it will be delivered next week.

The Blades claim West Ham should have been docked points for breaking transfer rules over the signings of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano.

West Ham stayed up at the Blades' expense on the final day of the season, leading to Sheffield United's appeal.

West Ham had earlier been fined £5.5m by the Premier League for their handling of the deals for the two Argentina internationals.

The arbitration tribunal can order a new disciplinary commission be set up to review the West Ham case, or rule that the Premier League handled the affair completely by the book.

A third option would be for the tribunal to declare that there are no grounds to order a new disciplinary commission for West Ham but that Sheffield United could have a case for compensation - but that verdict too would open a can of worms by effectively saying that the original commission acted inappropriately.

well does anybody actually think they will get back into the prem? I would be shocked if that were the case.

Decision in the next 2 days

Every one knows it will be in West Ham's favour.

Hell, it's been going on for so long now and all the Blades will get out of it will be some kind of puffy compensation, even though West Ham fielded, who we all understand to be, an illegal player.

Sheff Utd will be happy to walk away with compensation, even if they get £1 compo, they will be seen to have 'won'

I don't know what wiil happen, but can't for the life of me see Sheff Utd being re-instated.

West Ham are already on a spending spree to enddall spending sprees. (they must know they are still in the Prem and that Sheff Utd's challenge is a' no go'!)

Just where is the money and the fat cat coffers in the Premiership going to end?.

It's sickening and it depresses me big style!
