http://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/article/sheff-wed-v-reds-on-sale-tomorrow-708068.aspx Ok...who's going to be first to moan about how they are doing it?
My only question is, does any one know if it's reserved seating? As got a mate, non-season ticket holder wants to go. So I could get mine and then he gets his.
It says tickets are on sale tomorrow but has the first catergory of STHs listed to go on sale next monday. Will that moan be good enough
Really Says Tues 12th for ST and Monday for 1887 members 12th March - Season Ticket holders on production of special match voucher 'E' from season ticket book. One ticket per voucher. Monday 18th March - 1887 Members. One ticket per membership. Wednesday 20th March - General sale.
Does anybody know if you get choice of upper tier or lower tier? Or do they fill up one and then start selling tickets for the other? Can't remember how they've done it in the past...
I'd guess upper only always has been. I've always fancied lower at swilsbro but always got told there never on sale but a chance could be pay on gate. Never risked it tho.
If you're taller than 5'10 don't go in the lower tier. The rows of seats are so close together you can't get your legs in. I was in ******* agony the first and last time I sat in the lower tier. And the view is ****.
Will be meeting up with a couple of ex-colleagues who are Wednesday fans before the game (as well as a couple of others) and then probably out round Kelham Island area after the game - did it other year when we played them in opening game of season.
Remember a few year ago when we did fill top and bottom? Was when Higgingbottom got sent off and the two lasses that were singing at half time told all Barnsley fans to '**** off' because we were taking the pi.ss. haha sla.gs.
So won't be paying 28 quid for what is in my opinion the most unsafe away end in English professional football?
Even since then. The old decaying stand, the extremely small concourse in the upper tier, the cramped steps up and down the tier. Stewards doing nothing about people smoking in the toilet. It wouldn't take much for the stand to go up in flames and have thousands of fans stampeding down the stairs from the upper tier trying to get to safety. Really hate that stand.
