2 wins in 16. 60 years makes it sound a lot worse than it is. I hate stats like that as for many of those years were werent in the same league. It it was 2 wins in 60 games then fair enough. Not that im saying 2 in 16 is good. and have no problem with your stats just that sort. they say it a lot on tv too and its annoying. Like Chelsea first away win in Europe in 10 months. Considering they got knocked out in first knock out round last season and this was there first away game this its hardly a suprise is it.
Remember some of those games like they were yesterday. Also remember how much the Wednesdayites used to hate/fear Glavin. Can see him now, rounding the keeper in '81 to equalise late on and even better in '83, coming on as sub to shoot the winner low and hard into the corner. Happy days. That season was my first as a true fan of the Reds. So many great memories, the away win at Rotherham, ManCity, Liverpool in the cup. And I thought it would always be like that!! Anyone else remember?
I know it shouldn't make any difference but</p> eg</p> how come Tranmere have NEVER won at oakwell in the league</p> and neither have Wrexham-and we've never won at Wrexham</p> we do just have poor records against some teams</p> we do fabulously well away at Palace eg</p>
oh im not doubting things like that. Clive Mendonca(sp) always seemed to score against us. We in recent times always used to do well against the blunts. Just saying you saying 60 years makes it sound terrible when in only 16 of those years did we acually play them. if they had been consecutive season it would be 2 wins in 16 years. thats all i was saying. 2 in 16 years would still be a piss poor record
