As manager Brian Laws looks to next season's campaign.

Barnsley's former Manchester United starlet Nardiello has been linked with a summer move to S6. After a hit and miss campaign for Barnsley he has recently been in sparkling form scoring crucial goals in the Reds bid to keep their Championship status next season. No doubt this would be a move that would anger most Barnsley supporters IF it was to happen. Brian Laws has also stated that he will continue to track some unknown non league players for his next "gem." This was after Laws gave a trial to young Whitley Bay striker Lee Kerr in the reserves defeat to Birmingham on Monday night. The 19 year old has impressed recently on trials with other Championship clubs but he apparently isn't to be asked to stay. The out of contract players are also under the spotlight with recent stories regarding club captain Lee Bullen and striker Steven Maclean. Bullen impressed the manager in the Owls last game at West Brom, with Laws telling teamtalk.com that "He'll give everything for Sheffield Wednesday. He was exceptionally good against West Brom. He's a pleasure to work with." But Maclean also is rumoured to be offered a new deal to stay, which would stave off rumoured interest from West Brom amongst others.

Hope it's not true but if he hasn't been offered a contract with us at Barnsley then he may as well move to where he is wanted. "ducks for cover" (hidebehindsofa)
RE: I'm in the shop window so I'll start playing now Nardiello Bit hard to impress on the bench and lets face it, that's where he's spent most of the season. Never had the same run as any of the other crap we've had up front.
RE: I'm in the shop window so I'll start playing now Nardiello He's had plenty of chance this season....needed Ferenczi to come and give him a kick up the arse though
RE: I'm in the shop window so I'll start playing now Nardiello He's had his chances and couldn't be arsed. That's why he's warmed the bench. Players need to take responsibility for the whole of their contract, instead of taking their foot off the pedal and going into cruise control once a new contract has been signed. If he had shown willing, enthusiasm and determination in training he would have started more often. When he's a **** Wednesday player, you'll see it all again.
RE: wednesday come good at last! Can go for me, whats point in someone who only gives a toss when theres summat in it for "him"
You Fools He is the best finisher at the Club. (Even Andy Ritchie conceded that!)
Davey has got him playing to his strengths
He wants to stay.
What is your problem?

RE: You Fools So why are his strengths coming out now do you think ? Why weren't they on display earlier in the season do you think ? (chinny) It's not rocket science. He'll sign a new contract and hey presto, he's **** again for 2 years.
Yes. I know all this The trouble is with me, is that, I am always up for giving someone a second, third, fourth, fifth etc etc etc chance
That is me. sorry.

Ive always had Nards down as a confidence player hes had a good run in the team which he hasnt had for months due to injury/suspension etc. Thats allowed him to build up confidence and get some goals. Think you just have to look at his 1st goal at Southend and realise how confident he is now. Hes starting to run at players. Plus hes working hard too. he helped us get promoted last season and it looks as if hes going to keep us up this season. An indespensible player really.
RE: You Fools when hes one on one with the keeper he doesnt say to himself "ill miss this because my contract runs out in 2 years" its down to confidence
Hopefully, the Club will realise that they are allowing a goal machime to leave the club! Sorry, but they are.
He scores. He knows where the Net is. He comes up Trumps in the BIG games.
He has the talent, the skill and the finishing.
Davey neeeds to hang on to him and give him a new contract in my opinion.
He is a finisher and a goal getter and if he is weighing in, in training , and working hard, and, learning from Davey, as he says he has done, then he neeeds to start every game, purely and simply for the reason that he scores goals.

Nardiello.................................If Davey is coaching him and sees his potential, we would be fools to allow him to leave.
He is and could be the the Number 1 goal getter for next season, regardles of which League we are in.
YooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooReds!

RE: I'm in the shop window so I'll start playing now Nardiello Might as well give up and find a club where he's appreciated. Even when he does start scoooring, he gets the 'he's only playing for a contract jibes'. Can't win.
RE: Hopefully, the Club will realise that they are allowing a goal machime to leave the club Agree 100% Tina.
Davey has got him playing the best we have seen since his early days at the Club.
Nads looks as if he is enjoying his football again.
