Just quessing like...........but How many times do you think Pat Cryne has refused to accept Sheps resignition this season I'd quess at two I'm not trying to start a rumour or make mischief here But it would have been very very interesting to have been a fly on the wall this season Standing outside looking in, there must have been times this season when Shep wanted to throw the towel in
After all the 'abuse' and criticism on this site If I was Gordon Shepherd I would have thrown in the towel some time since. I do wish some people could keep off his back. Reminder to each and everyone remember what went before without names or poackdrill.
RE: After all the 'abuse' and criticism on this site Shep may not be perfect but he has the clubs interest at heart and he gives his time for FREE unlike a former ex chairman and his assistant on six figure salaries...
And what option would you rather have, a Chairman who know what he is doing and consequently makes more correct decisions or someone who does the job for nothing. Does your logic follow for on field employees, if not why not.
The options are: a) A chairman who has his own interests at heart, who does have good contacts, but who almost drove the club out of existance. b) Or a man genuinely doing his best, who supports the club and is aware of the financial restraints and willing to stick by them, in the face of unnecessary and down-right stupid criticism at times. Shepherd and Cryne, or no club? No brainer.
i think this board is pretty much taken with a pinch of salt in fact - i know it is. as it should be.
Absolutely. ..... and rightly so. Some of the abject and undeserved critisism and insults to players and staff on here would make most suicidal if if ws even remotely taken seriously.
Shephard Offered his resignation???? Hes loving it, He couldnt help sticking his beak in when Ricthie was having a bad run at the start of the season and there are alot of chairman that are far more in the background than Gordon is. He has power, and i personally think its going to his head. OK, hes not getting paid but hes on one hell of a power trip. My Opinion only.
I know that everyone wants Ridsdale to fail at Cardiff and for the club to be embroilled in administration, but what if he has got the funding right this time. What if he actually makes it to the Premiership and the ritches that entails. The problem with Barnsley is it is being run as a hobby, a small time business, a business that lacks ambition, a business run on cash flow alone, abusiness that see no value in its playing assets. This policy condemns us to remaining small, no matter what is said about ambition. My problem is that when Ridsdale makes ambitious statements, he means them. When BFC makes ambitious statements it means we are trying to con the customers again.
So we should gamble the future of the club on gaining promotion to the Premiership and risk going into Administration and possible bankrupcy? Thats what we should do? Really? The club has substantial debts already, and is being funded still out of someones pocket, but you'd dig an even deeper hole would you? Bear in mind we're competing in a league where some clubs have almost 10 times the turnover that we have, and almost 3 times the average sized crowds that we're getting. Ridsdale has mortgaged the future of Cardiff, and even they cant compete with Derby, Sunderland, Birmingham and West Brom on wages and fees. Get real, ffs.
RE: So we should gamble the future of the club Now tell us the story of how Ritchie was sacked for not spending money and not being ambitious enough!
Let's hear it, Corkscrew Boy. Who needs to get real? ffs.

I am guessing none.... Cos we don't know what objectives were set by PC We don't know what objectives have been acheived and what hasn't... As for all we know, he could be acheiving everything asked, and then again maybe achieving nothing... Fact is, we don't know. But the level of abuse that gets directed at all levels of the club are a bit OTT at times. All we care about is not getting relegated, and at this point in time, we are not in the bottom 3.
I am, if nothing else, a realist. I read much on here from people who claim to be in the know but who among you have seen and studied the accounts of the football club (in spite of much talk of it being a community club). Do you know the difference between a balance sheet and a cash flow. Are you aware that the value of a football club's main asset (its players) is only partially recorded on its Balance Sheet. Is it possible that some chairmen are aware that this unrecorded asset may be worked harder in a financial sense. I would welcome the opportunity to test out the hearsay about what we have and what we have not. Until then, like me, you are speculating in rumour and half truths, but things are rarely as simple as you portray.
Nobody repeat Nobody takes any notice of the usual half a dozen moaning feckers on the board Certainly nobody at the club
