Could do worse than bring JD back onto the Board for his football knowledge.

He couldn't screw up again without the cheque book in his hands but his football experience could be a great help.

For me Dennis did two things wrong

Hendrie as manager with £2.5 million to spend. Great player, but you never should let the dressing room clown become the top man.

Allowed Bassett to give out squad numbers in the forties, and then let Spackman add more

    What about Doyle?

Ritchie wouldn't dare speak out of turn if he was still chairman. Allegedly of course.

    Can I say that?

Right, so appart from those four things

    he did nothing wrong.

Except maybe comission the North Stand, which seats about 3,000 too many and (I think) cost about the same as the debt we went into administration for, and gets filled maybe twice a year, if we are in the same division as Wednesday AND Leeds ... which we rarely are.
