    is looking more and more conclusive as Richie & Davey have managed around the same number of games for the club this season;

    ...........Pld....W....D....L......F....A....Clean Sheets....Points....Points per game

    Richie.....18.... 4....3....11....22....36......1................15...............0.833

    Davey....17.....7....2.....8.....17....22......7................23...............1.353

Fair play to Davey, can't really argue with the facts as much as I'd like to.

    RE: Davey has.........

Tactically he's tightened the midfield up which needed doing but now the midfielders don't have to score all the goals as we have a genuine centre forward!

    RE: Davey has.........

Some people wont accept facts even though they are facts.

I thing AR was a decent fella but whether we would have stayed up know one knows. However, the results were getting worse and my personal opinion is that we would have been relegated.

Now I feel we have a chance. I felt from day 1 of the season that we would stay up but that we needed a few extra players. I admire AR for his loyalty to the players but the supposed inactivity would have cost us.

SD has come in and got clean sheets in almost half the games he has been involved in, we havent scored that many less and we have picked up several points more to give us a chance.

if only AR had signed mcann, and the two hungarians... with AR's style of football, they would have cleaned up... remember all those chances we used to create with anyone being able to put the pigs stomach in the stringy tangly thing.

if you only deal in facts then what are the facts?

did ritchie refuse to sign any players or did he refuse to sign league two crap?

who knows, but what we do know, is that these two hungarians, and mcann and reid and walwork, were all signed after AR departed.

thought leon knight was rubbish and i dont see mattis making it...

but dealing with the others, our scouting system is the same - therefore presumably offering up similar if not teh same players, the money that on offer is the same (cos we havent earned any more this season from cup runs etc), AR was very loyal to his boys who took us up the year before, AR hasnt said otherwise which you'd expext him to if shep was lying about it, and therefore, logically, it would seem, he didnt want to spend money on new players, mcann, reid, and the two hungarians have no doubt inproved the team.

this hypothetical situation keeps going through my mind though

A situation where somebody thought to themself 'we'll give him more money to spend and make ritchie look like a right ****'.

Who that somebody might be in this hypothetical situation i couldnt possibly begin to speculate.

    Could you honestly see

Andy Ritchie taking the Hungarians? he wouldnt even take Kazim Richards ffs. accept it and move on.

just cant see it, we know shep is tight as a ducks arse, therefore i cant see him spending more money that we dont have or can afford, just to make AR look like a tw*t. can't see it.

after all, when AR was first appointed manager, it was shep who appointed him, and shep got some stick for appointing someone with little experience etc etc... i think the timing is interesting and telling, only a few days before the end of the transfer window AR was sacked, i reckon cos we were running out of time to strengthen the squad that AR wanted to stick by. then int eh last 3 or 4 days, brought in 4 quality players, before realising leon knight was chuff, granted, but still, 3 players in just a couple o fdays, immediately after rich tea left.

that to me, lends weight to AR's refusal to accept his players werent good enough

why wouldnt he take kazim richards?

he seemed all for signing him until he spoke in more depth to the chairman about it. wonder whether they had a conversation involving a budget?

shep went on teh radio and said, AR changed his mind as Kazim was coming up to sign the papers, therefore we told him to turn around and go back

doesnt sound like budget, sounds like AR changed his mind

correct me if I'm wrong Paul D / anyone but......

....I'm pretty sure that Machin never had a relegation on his managerial CV, despite taking over some teams in extemely perilous situations (us and Bournemouth spring to mind....)

    kazim richards

Ritchie wanted him, but did not want to blow all the transfer budget on 1 player.
What about the players Ritchie wanted to sign, you know the ones that signed for other teams , cos we were only offering peanuts. It has been conveniently forgotten about that, Just the continual blindly "he wouldnt sign players "crap, that keeps coming on here all the time.
