Aldershot or Wigan (old one) More like picnic sites than football grounds. Remember getting to Caernrfon though & there'd been all the fuss about overpriced tickets, to find most of the locals were standing on beer crates outside the ground, with a better view than us at pitchside.
RE: wigans old one - was it springfield park ???? try this website..... you can re-live the memories.... www.footballgroundguide.co.uk
Spotland is ace! That pub right next to the away end.... brilliant - especially when your sister is driving.
Wembley! and then shortly after I saw the reds here in Aberystwyth in a pre season friendly. very strange contrast
Barrow, sticks in my mind for some reason only went to see Barnsley there once , cant really remember how bad it was , but I do know I vowed never to go again.
Not bad for us that went to Workington in 1976 came away winning 7-1. Peachy 3, Price 2, Saunders 1, Doyle 1.
and Barrow is still exactly the same went in 1970 and 71, so it will have been my firat away, not pne as i said earlier, went 2 years ago in a pre season friendly with morecambe and its exactly the same, drive passed it a lot with work, in fact will be there to morrow
