Just watching Sky News, they announced that the UK has suffered more deaths than China and Italy at their same stage as we are now of the spread of infection, they are 2 to 3 weeks in front of us.

This does not look good and one can only imagine what the situation will be in 3 weeks

It gets worse by the hour, and I still see people out strolling, dog walking, holding hands, queuing side by side in shops, and yesterday Clumber Park was heaving.

People still aren't acknowledging the seriousness of the situation!

Do you have the stats to show any of the following-

Areas of the UK/Italy with the highest fatality rate
A break down of the demographic of the fatalities eg gender, ethnic background, age, under lying health issues
    Population densities of the same.

Do you not think we are in any danger then DT?

Do you need the evidence you have requested to know we are on the verge of a modern day disaster?

I wonder if we are being told the whole story or are the government holding back as not spark any real social unrest.

Strange, I'm sure I heard one of the chief Medical Officers for Scotland saying getting out there and walking was highly recommended if distancing was practiced. Plenty of space at Cannon Hall this morning and that's where I walked the dog.

And that's fine BS, my point really is that a great number of people are just not following the distancing advice, probably because they see that most of the deaths are in Italy/Spain/China and therefore doesn't really affect us. In 3 weeks time it could be very different in the UK

The advice is to get out and walk (keep your distance)
The NT thought they’d help by opening up gardens and parks.
Unfortunately they were overwhelmed, making social distancing impossible, so they’ve had to close.

Some of the scenes from Snowdonia and Cumbria are quite concerning. Walking is fine as long as you are sensible and can ensure you keep your distance from others - you are also advised by the countryside alliance to walk from home if possible or limit yourselves to driving no more than 5 miles

Trouble is those showing a lack of common sense will then force the government to ban walking and hit the responsible majority. Planning a short walk in our local woods this afternoon can walk from my house and stick to the wide tracks that give ample room to pass anyone coming the other way at a 10' distance - A bit of a walk in the sun is good for you as long as you can keep your distance

People don’t know they’re going somewhere en mass though untill they get there .
With nothing to do people will decide to do these things and when they get there lots of others have the same idea so who’s spoiling who’s idea?
People aren’t gonna stay at home thinking they’ll be enough there I’d better not go otherwise it’ll spoil their day out .
I don’t know what the answer is but blaming each other isn’t it .

Cases in Cumbria are quite high too, they have half the population of Barnsley but whereas Barnsley has 7 confirmed cases, they have 57.

Lockdown is needed right now. Or we will regret it. The amount of multiple person gatherings that is still going on is unbelievable, some people dont seem to fear this horrible virus. Its a reciepe for disaster.

True but there have been appeals from the police and the locals in the the areas to stay away so maybe you can think that maybe staying away is a good plan - or if not when you get there maybe turn around and head for somewhere less crowded

    I d
i don’t get how being out for a walk, with a dog or not, a safe distance away from everyone can do any harm. If you’re not breathing/coughing in anyone or touching the same things how can the virus be passed on?
The big one for me now is supermarkets that are packed. All touching same baskets and trollies, all inside too in close proximity.

There are more cases in Cumbria than in Birmingham and far fewer NHS beds - its the one time they want tourists to stay away

Walked round Worsbro Mill this morning, one family had masks on and the majority kept to social distancing - a few coming down the path 4 wide and not giving a ****. Something going on at the mill though, 2 ambulances, 2 police cars and a paramedic screeched up.

Some Wilko stores have spacing markers on the floor but Morrisons dont give a ****, a bit like they have done throughout this pandemic
