Muller had respect of the team.

Having him in goals made a massive difference to the team. His presence has been missed and he also created a lot
of goals himself from his excellent distribution.

Agreed. Whilst Steele has made some great saves Muller just always seems assured nt

lets too many goals in from inside six yard box, not what I would call imposing and assured!
Flaps at crosses , but he is 6ft 4in.

Still think Muller is the best out of the two

Although it's surprising to see that we're letting in less goals from free kicks now he's not there.

Steele has done brilliantly, don't get me wrong. But I think over the course of a season Muller would save us the most points. I reckon he could have saved us 10 points before his injury.

Nick Colgan was not the best keeper ever at Oakwell, I havenever said he was!

Muller concedes too many goals from freekicks and crosses, Does not organise the defence well at said freekicks and corners,Only come and claims crosses that are hit from around the halfway line never for crosses closer to the box.

But never mind he is not playing again this season, we now have Steele , who is maybe a better allround keeper, but he is still prone to flapping at crosses too.

We are probably letting less goals in now because the defence has done a lot better since the start of the season. Kozluk is 100% better than Werling at LB.

He was great at going forward, but not at defending, which is his main job.

    Football is about scoring goals.

When your attacking other team can't score.

RE: Still think Muller is the best out of the two & still think he'll leave next season

if he comes back from injury and plays like he did this season.

I'd be more than happy with Steele as back up and have it sorted now rather that panicking into a signing in the Jan transfer window alf way through the season.

Would Steele be happy to warm the bench for half a season?

To be fair I dont think anyones forgotten about Muller

But hes a long term casualty and us fans just wanted the best replacement possible. Luke Steele "wowed" us with massive performance at Liverpool, is available and we naturally want to keep him.

I do think that some people have got carried away with the "pay the money, get him signed" malarky.

Its a difficult one because both are too good to play second fiddle to one another and we may not be in this division next season so could lose out on both.
