didn't agree when we let him go and definately dont now.

he made mistakes but he had some great games too.

there would have been no harm in keeping him as cover,

    another mistake by our master

    Agreed

    We've had far worse defenders.

We still have some of them.

    Hmmm.

No, I have to disagree on this one. I can't argue with the 'defensive cover' part, but I felt getting rid of Souza was the right thing to do. He was a big liability. However, the fact that we haven't replaced him with anyone worthwhile, and have kept the set of cronies that we have, is rather odd.

Then again, it is Simon Davey we are talking about.

    I agree...

...we complain about how slow our defence is - Souza was incredibly slow. In fact - I'm not sure that Davey knows that defenders can be quick. Or maybe he just judges them against himself? 'Well he's faster than I am - can't be bad'.

Souza was scarcely adequate cover. Now we have no cover. So he's made a bad situation worse.

I heard Souza wanted out anyway, so I'm not sure we even could have kept him. However, we need to sign some players - especially defenders given the 7 conceded in 3 league games - who can slot straight into the side and improve matters. It is not cover we need and it is not Souza we need either.

Souza wouldnt get bullied like Foster does, he would have handled Parkin for their 3rd goal. Foster is over rated at centreback, he should go back to right back where he was superb.

    Hmm

Foster: Slow, out of form and right footed.
I'm surprised Davey hasn't tried him at left back yet.
