Part of my normal match day routine is to eat a Mars bar at half time. I ordered 3 from Tesco on "click and collect". However, they have substituted Boosts for my Mars bars.

For tonight, I have a Mars bar available so I will eat it at half time. My dilemma is, should I risk a Boost on Saturday or should I get some Mars bars in?

If it were an end of season game with little at stake, I would be more inclined to take the risk but as we are in a great position and win on Saturday is important for more than one reason, I am really reluctant to change my match day routine. Note that I have not washed my free white (away) shirt since this unbeaten run started.

    Should I risk a Boost?

The Boosts are surely a sign? The very name of them should prompt you to forgo your Mars bar tonight and eat the first boost. Valerian makes his triple substitution to boost the team, and you should also eat your chocolatey snack.
If you eat your Mars bar, you have blocked that boost and we may well lose. Boost today will be three further points, boost on Saturday will be three further points, boosting our promotion chances. Eat your Mars bar during an international match.

    Glad I'm not superstitious.

Mars Bar. Don't change a winning formula. Just ask Valerien :)

Good. I'll remember to wear my lucky BFC sweater from the start tonight. Sorry about Saturday, remembered it at half time :) Together with VI's subs and tactics we changed the game. It's a team effort :)

I put my socks on before my pants. I'd already posted the house key through the letterbox for Laura so had to knock her up and come back in to finish getting dressed.

By the same token, if they stick with a Mars bar, surely by your logic they would be reaching for the stars? :D:Do_Oo_O

If we want to start being metaphorical... Mars is a barren wasteland, just like our goal tally if the Mars bar is the confectionary of choice.
Also, in Roman mythology, Mars is the god of war, which means the second half will be a war of attrition and we may well end up with injuries.

I'd be inclined to do what you like. I've already messed this up for all of us by missing the bin with an empty toilet roll, from across the bathroom. I'm on the phone to Val to apologise, and tell him to rest his key players for Saturday.

Get off your backside and get down to the Newsagents for some more Mars Bars. For Gods sake man. The winning run depends on it. :D

I always walk the dog 4 times around the park before a game, hate to finish on an odd number and it has been lucky so far. You Reds
