If people are concerned about the health of customers inside pubs then surely now we should have laws to protect everyone from the dangers of binge drinking. And should pubs only be allowed to serve low fat healthy meals, an unhealthy diet is the cause of some real major problems in this country.

We all know the dangers of binge drinking and a bad diet and i think we should act now.

What about banning chairs and tables too in pubs and making people jog on tread mills at about 4 miles per hour.

Why is it socially acceptable to confront people about

how they are harming their bodies through smoking and drinking but you can't go up to a fatty with a pie in their hands and express concern?

    Always baffles me that one.

errr I assume you are relating this to smoking

... if so then smoking is the only 'habit' that directly impinges upon other people. It denies them the right to clean air. The rest can have an effect indirectly on other people in that get pissed, throw up, fight, etc... but that is only when alcohol is abused... smoking it's from the first cigarette. I'm not anti smoker, it's up to personal choice but I'd like the right to choose as well.

I'm not arguing for smoking to be brought back inside pubs

I'm just suggesting a few remarkable ideas to further help pub goers have an healthier experience.

They banned smoking for health issues, i don't think it stop here.

Maybe some compulsory squat thrusts as you pass the bouncers.

The health of non smokers mainly ?

I'm not into the nanny state and I'll drink as many fecking units as I want. As long as I don't hurt anyone else i don't see a problem. I'm affraid the smoking ban is the only 'nannying' I agree with.

    nope.

my point was on your comment on right to clean air.

I coupled it to the 2nd post above where we were originally talking about health concious serving etc

don't know how you linked that fat git to being smoker.

    and yes I smoke

Fat drunk people are more likely to fall over

I actually had a drunk fatty fall over on me at Birdwell Club the other week.

It's a good job i'm a strong lad with balance like a cat, it could have ended in broken bones.
