Personally i say no, why? becasue he is by far the best England manager we've had since Robson in 1990. Whats backs this up? From a possible 66 points in qualifying games he has taken 55! The last two major tournements we have reached the Q/F, the two before that we were a laughing stock going out early doors! I hate it when people say he does not motivate players, should he even have to? People say he plays people out of position, before last night i'd like to see the last time he played a player out of position in a competitive match!? I'd rather be playing rubbish now than in the summer, and the last 3 games are probably the worst an england team has played under him, buit does that deserve a sacking? I wish i had a journalists job, becasue its easy to sit in a room and moan and critise things and hinde-sight is great for them because they can say "looking back he should of done this and that" but if he had at the time and it had not of worked what would they say? oh he should of done this instead! e.g rooney injured 2004 brought Vassell on, people moan he made the wrong choice it should of been Heskey, ok then if he brought Heskey and the result was the same what would people of said, he should of brought Vassell on! No win situation! As for the money he is on, thats not his fault? Its the FA's and i don't agree with it, but you cannot blame the man for accepting it!? and before anyone says "yeah but he doesn't do his job for what he is on, or for x amount of money he cannot even motivate players" my response would be that if you are one of the best in your profession with a trusted method, and a job came in for more money but it meant you changing your style would you take it, despite there been no gaurentee you'll be succesful!?!?
I say yes. Sven has the best squad since 1966, as Beckham says, the team picks and manages hisself. What does he earn, 4 million? Go quick, and go now. This squad could win the world cup - but NOT with Sven. He's too safe.
But clearly the team does not pick itself because everyone has a different opinion of players that should start, like i said it is not his fault he is on so much, would it be ok then if he was on a lower wage? He could then stay? He's too safe compared to Mr Motivator himself Mr Kevin Keegan? clearly the motivational or attacking option does not work either?
Yes He's lost the plot. We're going backwards. After playing 4-4-2 in all the opening games when we trounced Poland, Austria (apart from 2 Calamity James ****-ups)Azerbaijan, Wales and 4-0 v N. Ireland, he suddenly decides that plan A which beat the likes of Germany 5-1, is not good enough. So he hatches plan B, swamp the midfield & plays a lone midget up front and then asks his wide men to rain crosses in to him. Tactics are only required when up against superior opposition or a one-off player like Zidane. For the likes of Northern Ireland why not stick with the tried & trusted 4-4-2 which has won more World Cups than any other system. He makes a simple game complicated and accomodates too many players. There's only room for either Gerrard or Lampard not both, yet he plays both because of their decent club form. Beckham hasd been playing the sitting role, they're both running in each others channels. He's going to have to drop one of them & play an out & out ball-winner e.g. Phil Neville. How many World Cups have I won? None same as Sven.
