when we play charlton & derby ?, to get as many people in oakwell as we can for the biggest 2 games of the season, or don't we need them ?
Great idea, sadly the major flaw in the plan are our army of stay away fans who can't be arsed to support their club. No point in offering any more incentives.
Isn't there another £12.50 ticket offer planned before the end of he season? Or did I imagine it? Should we get the semi final out of the way first?
Bigger crowds don't mean we are more likely to win matches though. We've won a fair few this year on poor crowds, while teams with much bigger attendances than us struggle just as much or in the case of the Blunts more.
Don planned it for Millwall before the date shifted. He said be another one this season but theat was before price drop. £20 and how many thousand missing Tuesday who went and paid £27.50 and travel to city?
There was to be another £12.50 game if I remember correctly however I can imagine now its £20/23 accross the board that's been shelved. All those who wouldn't pay £28 have been flocking back I see. Well and truly had there bluff called.
Gates had increased quite significantly, until the Brighton game. The fact that many had paid out for City on the Saturday won't have helped. Plus, it was a rearranged fixture so many who may have got there originally won't have been able to. And, we always get less for an evening fixture, especially ones against **** clubs who fetch small numbers..
In Tuesday's programme, the Charlton and Derby games were advertised as the usual £20 Which leaves Hull at home for an offer game but can't see it as they will bring a big away following regardless
already been dropped to 20 quid, which is a fair price for championship football given the fact I was told the other day it is 9 quid to watch frickley. Plenty attended man city who probably havnt been to oakwell all season, maybe even since the chelsea match,we need those supporters on board, probably wont happen tho'. football for a fiver for the charlton match to return the favour would be a good gesture,we'll look right tight arses if we dont.
To be fair the vast majority of those at City were STHs anyway so the Brighton match wouldn't have made a difference.
yawn. we've proved time and again this doesn't work. the £20 offer has proved that. 20 points from 10 and the stayaways still nowhere to be seen. all it does it cost the club money.
I'm not sure they were all season ticket holders. I bet a big percentage had got their tickets on a season ticket where the holder dint want to go or couldn't go
We kept on about bringing price down to £20 The club did it and what has happened. Sweet fanny Adam. The stay always will not come even if we offered to fetch them. Tuesday was a hangover from Cup game, probably skint
It's a time for unity, so I don't understand threads like this where folk are droning on about stayaways. You can control your own attendance, nobody elses. It's up to those in charge at Oakwell to get bums on seats, and their way of doing it the last few years has proved disastrous. No poorly advertised offer at the back end of the season is going to hide that, in my opinion.
