Option 2 and then review at the end of the season. Set some targets and if he achieves them he should get the job permanently.
Sorry, I should have included an option 4: appoint a different manager. It just didn't occur to me due to the board's stance and current form.
Wouldn't they announce it as such if that was the case? This is such an unusual position for our club (or any club) in which there seems to be no pressure to appoint anybody following the departure of a manager (or coach)
He's doing a fantastic job. Maybe give it a couple more games, but if we're going to give him the job, give him it for at least the next 3 transfer windows. None of this, end of the season stuff, continuity is key, now more so than ever. Sent from my I-Oven using the internets
