just abolish the idea of season tickets?
then when "hens teeth" tickets are for sale just sell to those with greatest attendance?

Hens Teeth? Mate, there was 6000 tickets. If those people moaning really wanted to go, and I mean REALLY WANTED to go to Liverpool. They should have done the following: 1. Got up nice and early. 2. Gone down to Oakwell and queued in the cold. 3. Bought their tickets, producing match voucher E. It really was that simple.
RE: Hens Teeth? You just don't have a clue do you? Think about it. The first two don't guarantee the third anyway. One ST one ticket. It really would have been that simple.
even if people did go down early there still would've been some missing out, and if they all went earlier than you, it would be you missing out.
RE: Hens Teeth? Poet you MORON. i WAS UP EARLY, 05.30 to be exact, and had to be in Leeds at 0700 for a meeting that could not be cancelled. What should have happened is a category system like we operated successfully in the Premiership. Not dificult to oversee that one, even for BFC
Point is mate.....
...if evryone had done that your mum might not have got one. it doesn't matter how early the queue started, the fact is that tickets have gone to friends and family of ST holders rather than other ST holders.
Of course that's allowing the assumption that ST holders necessarily deserve special treatment.

Hah Your "simple as" wasn't that simple then was it? 1. Get up nice and early. 2. Go down to Oakwell and queue in the cold. 3. Find out that someone in front of you had 100 season tickets for people sat at home. 4. Go home without a ticket.
RE: Hens Teeth? It is simple isn't it?! 6,000 tickets (2 per season ticket holder), at least 6,000 season ticket holders. All season ticket holders turn up early and queue for hours, first 3,000 in queue get 2 tickets each, other 3,000 still without!
RE: Hens Teeth? Hows that work then, I live in Sale, about 40 miles away. I'm well prepared to drive over the tops for every 'home' game but I simply cannot make it to queue up in person, its a bleeding farce. I have no problems with ST holders getting priority, they stump up their cash at the start of the season, they've made a commitment to the club, I do have a problem with non ST holders (the +1) getting tickets. Nudgers idea of 'who wants to go to a match alone' - well, anyone that cares about football and their club does!
RE: I sense a bit of angriness from you guys. What a shame... nt If I had wanted a ticket and was a Season Ticket holder I'd be a bit miffed as well.
Still nothing like a bit of oneupmanship is there.

RE: Hens Teeth? What makes you think that each and every season ticket holder would purchase 2 tickets? If each household at 2 season ticket holders - ONE could go, buying the ticket for him/herself and then for the other person. Thought...crossing...mind..never? - Unjumble that and make a sentance.
RE: Hens Teeth? Of course some season ticket holders would purchase for other ST holders......my mate went and got for him and his lad (both season ticket holders) on 1 ST, I didn't say everyone would....but when you have more ST holders than the amount of tickets on offer it doesn't make sense to allow 2 per ST holder, they would have sold out on general sale had it got to that stage if it was 1 per ST holder....and many ST holders attend games with friends/family who also have ST's so they would have still been able to sit together. The club cocked it up
