We need to be a top 12-14 club in the Championship so it makes staying up EVEN more important whilst such rumours are around.

I don't think it'll happen...

And if it does who knows exactly how it'll work...

But if it does... those that get in it will be sorted, those that miss out will be left behind.

I disagree.

If us, Blackpool and Doncaster make the cut at the expense of Leeds, Leicester and Norwich, you aren't telling me that the authorities wouldn't give the latter three some sort of special dispensation?

I hope it doesn't happen

It's about enough with 2 Welsh teams in our leagues, nevermind 2 Scottish aswell.

It won't happen. It isn't financially viable for the current PL clubs so they won't vote for it. The TV money wouldn't go up massively and there would be more teams to share it out amongst (60% more teams). Less home games each season so less revenue there too. The Scottish sides will have a far less chance of qualifying for the Champs League, if UEFA let them in to the competition as it would be against one of their rules currently, so less guaranteed income from that. Too many obstacles for it too happen.

if they do then Gartside and Bolton should be excluded as they're

not a big club and Leicester or Leeds should be.

That'll shut the fat **** up !

of next year's likely teams

teams that won't vote for it due to current incomes being higher than with new system:
Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Everton, Man City, Liverpool

teams that won't vote for it due to it being unlikely for them to be relegated in a league of 20 but more possible with 18:
West Ham, Fulham, Spurs, Blackburn, Pompey, Bolton and even maybe Wigan

therefore only teams that gain advantage from staying in a prem league if relegated would be:
Wolves, Brum, other promoted team, Hull, Sunderland, Stoke

even if you drop a couple from the second group to the third such a proposal would require the agreement of 14 out of the 20 chairmen. Therefore, thankfully in my opinion, not going to happen in the near future.
