Sheffield Wednesday have terminated the contract of Adam Proudlock.

A statement on the official website confirmed that the club "have served notice to terminate the contract of Adam Proudlock for disciplinary reasons."

The 24-year-old forward had made over 60 appearances for Wednesday since his £150,000 move from Wolves two years ago.

This season, Proudlock had yet to make a first-team start, but had come off the bench seven times, most recently on Saturday during the second half of the 2-1 home defeat to Millwall.

Wednesday fan at work says he's incredibly out of shape. Apart from that, we've got a shed load of strikers already, it's defenders we need. Seriously thin on the ground in that department.
