We draw to a very poor side and some people still think it might be a good point.

Come on if we cant win this group we dont deserve to go to Brazil.

Its the fans i feel sorry for. So loyal but let down every single time.

How we got through the group stages in Ukraine was a mirracle

they are not a poor team.
Thats a tough place to go. A point for any team there would be good.

FFS people just want to get on the backs of the players.
They have some very good players. They targeted England well and got a goal.

no team will win every single game. Spain have just got 4/6. i bet people over there arent going OTT about it.

I gave up on the England team a long time ago.

Until everyone at the FA gets the boot we'll never have a decent team

Disappointed with the second half display last night but thought the blame lay more with the manager than the players. Montenegro set up differently at half time and it took until the inevitable goal went in for Roy to do anything about it.

Hodgson has a good track record for setitng some sides to be solid and hard to beat but we were far too negative last night. The first half should have shown that there was very little to worry about. Had we taken the game to them in the second half I think we'd have won comfortably. We looked the most likely to score in the last 15 mins, just a pity we sat back and invited pressure for the 30 mins prior.

I don't feel particularly let down by the players though. As is with most poor England display the old 'no passion' arguments springs up. Didn't seem to be a lack of effort last night, just a lack of quality. But that's to be expected isn't it? We're a very average side on paper. Many of the starters last night aren't even regulars in their respective club teams.

The 'golden generation' let us down badly. Poor performances in Germany and barely turning up in South Africa was an insult to the loyal fans who'd made the trips. But the current batch are playing pretty much to their level. I expect we'll qualify for the World Cup and probably progress through the group stages and that's about the best we can hope for.

We will still qualify. 3 of our 4 games left are at home.

Basically too much cash in English game means too many foreign players.

We've seen with the promising youngsters we've had that have moved on to the Prem haven't really had a chance to get into
the first team (Stones I fear the next). They get loaned back to the championship, which is now the "feeder division"
& don't progress. The very few who make it are made out to be superstars & i think the bullish*t they are fed by the press stops
most of them managing to become world class.

If the FA / Prem League don't bring in some proper financial rules, nowt will ever change. We will be second rate, as we are now & have been
since the 90's, when we did have a decent team under robson.

We'll still finish top when we beat Montenegro at home. Only potential banana skin is Ukraine away.

Tough place to go . You having a laugh - Ill take it when we beat San Marino you were amazed how we won that match .

Where England surely a point away to a side like this is not acceptable. - I wouldnt mind if we played well but we got battered in the 2nd half. Totoally outclassed by a side like that.

Is it realy worth us going to Brazil ( I think Not) Laughing stock once again

Well no it doesnt because there is the play off if we finished second.

But if we cant manage to finish top in this group what chance do we have in Brazil.

Montenegro went all of last season without losing at home,so yes it is a tough place to go and win.

Its great how people think everything in international football is so easy, even though they have never played the game at a high level.

Montenegro had when it was the old Yugoslavia the most representitives. An old yugoslavia who in the 80s and 90s should have won a world cup and at least 2 european championships.
There players are more technically gifted than most of the other European nations.
Thats why you will find most Balkan countries players play in the top leagues in europe and the top clubs too

Maybe it just goes to show how fickle England "fans" are rather than how poor the team is?

Some of the comments I read on Facebook last night were comedy gold, "we'll never get to at least the semi finals with performances like that" "we should be beating small teams like Montenegro" etc.

You mean those Scots who haven't seen their team play in a major tournament since 1998?

    But that's not sport.

A non league team shouldn't beat a premier team in the Fa cup.
England shouldn't have beaten New Zealand in the Rugby
England should be beatingto teams like New Zealand away and not losing to the likes of West Indies away.
Spain shouldn't be Drawing with Finland

    But that's sport for you...

Yes. But New Zealand do generally win a lot.

England weren't always this good at cricket. Trust me. West Indies were THE team when I was a youngster.

    Spain usually win a lot.

My point being, whilst I accept England can't win every game (especially when picking the same ***** players) I will always expect us to beat the likes of Montenegro, Ukraine and Poland.

    That's me for you...

When was the last time England lost in 90 minutes?

End of the Euro qualifiers, we don't lose a lot.

When people start talking about England they turn in Wednesday or Sheffield Speak were we must beat everyone.
